Please come out and celebrate the community with our Annual Christmas Parade. All are invited to participate and all are encouraged to line the streets next Thursday Night beginning at 6:00pm from First Methodist Church to the High School. The parade will conclude with the Christmas Concert of Bands at WSHS.


West Sabine Elementary & Junior High Principals, Kena McClenny & Jessica Wallace, proudly display their Academic Championship plaques from the 2022-23 UIL Academic Meets hosted by WSISD this week! We are proud of the accomplishments of all Tigers! Hard work pays off!


It was exciting day around Tiger Country! Congratulations to all Academic UIL participants. We performed well to kick off the contest with Broaddus and San Augustine.
We also hosted basketball games and passed our Safety Audit.

A few updates regarding weather:
We have dismissed as normal. Please review the following:
-Our Hemphill students will be hand delivered to their homes by our transportation.
-Dr. Gilder and Operations is in contact with Emergency Personnel in the event of an incident, we will return back to the elementary campus.
-Dr. Gilder is in route to Rosevine and all emergency calls will be made from the Rosevine store.
-If you see or hear of anything that we need to know, please call admin and they will get the message across to Dr. Gilder.
*any changes will come from the Superintendent.


The Tiger Band is excited about a face lift for the upcoming year. These new and improved band hats arrived today thanks to our awesome band boosters. New plumes to arrive soon.

WSISD will be closed for a much needed break! We pray that you enjoy your family and loved ones during Thanksgiving! You deserve it.
Offices will close today at 2:00, and after the last bus makes it back, the district will shut down for 9 full days. Happy Thanksgiving!


Wow! Today was outstanding with family & fellowship at West Sabine. We celebrated our time-honored Thanksgiving Programs, our Fall Fest, Family Dinner (at lunch), & College Signing for Cora Sepulvado!

We have been busy bees around the district preparing for our family, friends and guests. We also have been taking time to be thankful for our many blessings. We are blessed with very willing and skillful leaders in our district! Help me to thank and appreciate our Principals!
