Tiger Nation, Help us welcome Tristan Freeman to West Sabine! She is coming to teach Junior High Reading Language Arts and Coach! We are happy to welcome her and her family! Help us give Coach Freeman a hearty welcome!

Welcome back to West Sabine, Ms. Becky Whitton. She will teach 2nd grade. This will be her second time back to Tiger Country. We are happy to have her. Help us welcome Ms. Whitton!

Also, coming back to the den is Mr. Tim Hunger. Mr. Hunger is coming back for a second time as the Director of Bands. We are happy to have him! Help us give him a hearty welcome back!

Help is welcome back to the Tiger Den, Ms. Renekil Hamilton. Renekil will join us in the Administration as our Finance II Coordinator. She is a WSHS Class of 1998 alum and we are happy to have her back.

Important Note: Until the system officially rolls over, your student may still display their grade level from the prior school year. This is normal and will update automatically when the system rollover is complete.

West Sabine ISD is committed to working collaboratively with our private non-profit school partners to ensure eligible students have access to valuable federal educational resources.

We invite representatives of eligible private non-profit schools located within the West Sabine ISD attendance boundaries to attend our ESSA Private Non-Profit Consultation Meeting.

During this meeting, we will discuss potential participation in:

This annual consultation provides an opportunity to discuss student needs, available services, and how federal programs can support eligible students attending private non-profit schools. Additional participation requirements are outlined in the official meeting notice.

📢 STAAR Scores Are Now Available on Parent Portal! 🐅🧡🖤

West Sabine ISD families can now access their student's STAAR assessment results through the Parent Portal.

Here's how:
✅ Log in to your Parent Portal account.
✅ Click the green Texas Assessment button.
✅ View your student's STAAR scores and detailed performance information.

If you need assistance accessing your Parent Portal account, please contact your student's campus office.

📢 STAAR & TELPAS Score Release Information

Parents, you may receive an email from the Texas Assessment Family Portal before student assessment scores are available. This email will provide instructions for accessing your child's results when they are released.

📅 Score Release Dates:
✅ STAAR EOC – June 10, 2026
✅ TELPAS – June 11, 2026
✅ STAAR Grades 3–8 – June 16, 2026
✅ STAAR Alternate 2 – June 24, 2026
