We have great news! Our district recently went through their financial audit. We are proud to say that our district received an "Unqualified Opinion." An unqualified opinion confirms the auditor has no material reservations about the financial statements. This is the highest rating that a district can receive.
While there are many rumors that float regarding district finances, the best way to bust the myth is the financial audit. Our district is very healthy financially.

We are gearing up for the close of the year, already. This semester will be filled with interventions and academic remediations to ensure our kids are ready AND co-curricular and extracurricular events. April will be dedicated to state testing. From now-May will be a busy time.
WS joins the many who are praying for Hemphill and the family of Serenity. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Rivera Family, classmates, faculty & staff of HMS.

Trace Sowell, a West Sabine High School Senior, recently competed with more than 4,900 applicants from around the nation in the National Beta Scholarship Program. From among those applicants, only approximately 5% were selected to receive a scholarship.
Trace was one of the applicants who has been awarded a scholarship to use at the school of his choice. He is the first student from West Sabine High School to receive this prestigious honor.

One of our dear families has lost their home in a tragic house fire last night. There are three kids in the family and we seek to help them.
We have designated the Leadership & Community Development Center as a staging area for the family's current need. Please see the flyer and assist where you can, if possible.
We ask that items be gently used as we seek to give our best to this family in their time of need.
